Why Brixton?

Once a cheap alternative to Clapham, a new generation of young and affluent fashion-conscious professionals, City commuters and creatives are moving to Brixton and adding to the cosmopolitan mix of inhabitants.

When it comes to offering a choice of properties, Eden Harper in Brixton has something for everyone. While there has been a surge in new-build in SW9, there are still plenty of attractive Victorian houses still very much in evidence. Many have been converted into flats, but you can still get five and six-bed properties too. In fact, many residents first buy flats here and then go on to buy family homes just a matter of streets away.

We’re not surprised. Although Brixton has lost none of its vibrancy and energy, the area has grown up and learned about community. It offers a well-designed town square and quirky shops and restaurants that make living there a pleasure. It even has its own currency, the Brixton Pound, and a windmill!
