Posted on by within Property News, London, Battersea

A warehouse which has stored masterpieces by famous artists such as Picasso and Klimt will soon be knocked down and turned into a £300 million apartment block.

Wandsworth councillors have given the all-clear to plans to demolish the building, which is close to the new US Embassy building as well as Battersea Power Station.

The Nine Elms area, as well as Battersea have been part of a massive regeneration project designed to bring tens of thousands of jobs, new homes and better transport links to the area.

The developers plan to build 510 flats, of which 76 will be affordable homes.
