London House Prices at 20 percent above 2007 peak

House prices in London have grown at almost two times the rate of the UK average since January.

In the first quarter, average house prices boomed to £362,699. This was an 18.2 percent increase in comparison to the first quarter of 2013, when the average price was £306,919

Halifax bank also issued its latest house price index last week. The figures showed that house prices have risen 8.4 per cent year-on-year in March.
