It's not just the property market landscape that has changed significantly since the Eden Harper story began back in 2002 in Battersea, with a new chapter beginning in Brixton five years later. The whole of the South West London skyline has been transformed over the years, and we have been proud to grow and adapt alongside it. Both of our neighbourhoods have seen extraordinary change. From the innovative development of Battersea Power Station and the exciting regeneration of Nine Elms, to the emergence of the vibrant Brixton Village, we've happily embraced developments in both business and the South West London skyline and, as a result of adjusting accordingly, we continue to flourish.
Our directors, Richard Symes (Battersea, sales and lettings manager) and Ajaye Gopal (Brixton, accounts and HR), came from the corporate sector, where numbers and not necessarily people are key. Drawing on that experience, they set out to build something different: a bespoke service with a focus on individual attention to detail and a genuine desire to develop long-term relationships with clients — people, not just numbers. This has led to a harmonious strategy that means landlords, tenants and returning vendors can expect the same high level of service from our team.
We believe great service starts with the right team. Many of our loyal staff members have been with us for several years, and having lived locally have developed a great passion for our areas. Our ability to gauge the market comes from being able to draw on a vast reservoir of experience garnered over the years — knowledge that only comes from truly knowing the streets we work on. That continuity brings great peace of mind to many of our clients.
Like everyone, we weathered the storm of the credit crunch just as the Brixton office opened for business. From there our client base grew rapidly in both sales and lettings, and now we manage over 250 properties for landlords based as far away as Australia and the USA, giving our clients the confidence that their investment is in safe, experienced hands wherever in the world they happen to be.
Whilst the industry and technology have changed, client expectations and our personal service haven't. We embrace fresh and proactive marketing across Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket, with regular, relevant content shared across our social media pages, all while preserving the traditional values of honesty, communication and genuine local expertise.
